The Enclave Charter
The Arm of Decision in Battle
The Enclave was first established in January of 1998. Since then, we've grown into a large community of players and have become widely known across multiple games and communities for our ability to organize and dominate any play field we come across, and with that reputation The Enclave conjures up thoughts and feelings like no other existing group. Love, hate, fear, respect, disgust, admiration or even objective judgments are just some of the many. The Enclave's presence in games has enriched both the community and game play in such a way that it's impossible to forget the impacts we make; with these memories we have forged a tradition of victory and competitiveness. The Enclave plays to win; we always have and always will. Second place for the Enclave is still considered a loss. In every game we've played and every server we've claimed as our own, we've left behind the memory of victory. Never has the Enclave known a defeat so crippling that our will be undone and so long as our members believe in our victory, our history and our tradition shall never experience such a blow.

Our Definition
Discipline
This is very important in order to keep our forces organized. A well-disciplined group will always come out the victor in battle. Our guild is a well-organized fighting force and always will be, as long as we maintain proper discipline. The officers in charge of each man are all experienced, level-headed men, who keep the men under them disciplined and informed as to what is going, gaining the men's cooperation.
From the Commander down to the “lowly” Private, it is his duty to see that, whatever his job is, it will be done properly. With such a fighting force, how can we lose? Remember, “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”. We shall not fall.
Teamwork
Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision and the ability to direct individual accomplishments toward organizational objectives. It is this fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Getting good players is easy. Getting them to play together is the hard part, but that’s what we’re famous for.
Loyalty
The greater the loyalty of individuals toward the group, the greater is the motivation among the members to achieve the goals of the group, and the greater the probability the group will achieve its goals. The true depth of our loyalty can be seen in the history of The Enclave and the number of members who have left and returned, unable to find a similar bond elsewhere.
Excellence
Champions do not become champions when they win the event, but in the hours, weeks, months and years they spend preparing for it. The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character. We are no different. In The Enclave, we constantly practice, refine, and improve upon everything we can in order to maintain our skill. The only way to be the best is by constantly striving to beat your previous best.
Professionalism
We strive to shape ourselves into professionals. Our priorities lay within our staunch adherence to cooperation and victory. We will not abide armatures. Ours is a burden of excellence.
Our Goals
Victory
Our motivation stems from an unrelenting desire to dominate. Our enemies immediately recognize the true opposition. It’s always us.
Legacy
Over a decade has passed since our inception. Even with the strain of time we remain an active, ambitious guild. The foundation of our strength lies within our collaborative efforts. We seek to achieve excellence because at the end of the day The Enclave strives to do more than simply play the game, but to be a part of its definition. To be honored by tales that will carry on long after us. To be immortalized in the history of the game and our server.
Growth
No guild survives without recruits. We actively seek likeminded players who have and share the same drives and desires as us. To find a recruit who both fits into the ranks of The Enclave and exhibits our traits is a rare and valued find that must not be squandered.
Fun
Despite how serious this charter may sound, our primary focus is always to have fun. This is a game, and we realize that. Having an ire of professionalism does not mean we sacrifice the core of why we do what we do. If we're not having fun, there’s no point to any of this.
Our expectations
Visit our forums regularly.
The forums are our community. It is where we share our information, plans, strategies, make announcements, and many other matters of importance. Every member is expected to visit the forums daily to stay caught up on events and topics. Ten minutes a day and a few posts is not much to ask and goes a long way to having a well informed and healthy group.
Always on voice comms when in-game.
Voice communication is absolutely vital to teamwork and strategy in-game. Every member logged into the game is expected to be on voice comms at all times. Even members who do not talk much or have broken mics have no excuse not to be on to listen to instructions and coordinate with group leaders.
Usually with the guild when in-game.
While everyone needs some time to do their own thing, members in-game are expected to spend most of their time with the guild. This does not mean you can't pug instances or raids, but if we're doing something together as a guild you should be with us.
Class Knowledge
Don't apply to this guild if your brand new or don't know how your class works. The class leaders are not here to baby sit or hold your hand. They will guide, answer questions and give you suggestions but they will not play your class for you.
PvE Knowledge
There is an endless amount of websites and videos on the Internet that are available to you which will help you better understand fights you've never done before. Don't be that guy who shows up to a raid and dies to void zone. That guy never lasts long in this guild.
PvP Knowledge
If you absolutely suck at PvP and have no intention of getting better, then don't join. The Enclave runs premades when we're not raiding and being a complete and total fuck up will normally end up in your removal.
Team Player
You are not special, you are not a unique snow flake. We're not here to give you loot. You are in this guild to see this guild succeed and you're in this guild to ensure that it does succeed. Your outstanding performance and dedication will be rewarded.
Preparedness
Coming to a raid? Bring potions and flasks. Going to PvP? Make sure you have resilience and are of the proper spec. I don't want to see people in a raid as a PvP spec, nor do I want to see people in a battle ground as a PvE spec. In addition, if we are raiding, then you are expected to have the required addons.
Follow orders
You will be given instructions in both PvE & PvP and will be expected to follow both of those instructions to the letter. There is a chain of command in this guild and you will adhere to it.
Self Sufficiency
Don't expect the guild to do things for you - We'll help you with some things but do not beg us to run you through instances or gear your character up for you. That is your responsibility not ours.
Responsibility
Don't make excuses, if you screw up man up to it and move on. None of us are perfect. If you make a mistake inquire as to how it happened and work on improving. In addition, when doing any organized guild event you will be expected to be sober and fully aware of your actions while doing so.
Obligation
If you raid/expect to raid with us, Show up for the raids you sign up for. If, for some reason, you can not make a raid, alert Horrigan or one of the other officers ahead of time. In addition, if you are a raider and have received a large amount of gear from said raids and are instrumental to the success of the raid you are to take extra steps to ensure you can make said raids.
Don't piss off Horrigan
Failing to adhere to any of the above exceptions will result in pissing off Horrigan. Pissing off Horrigan is never a good idea and will result in your removal.
Conduct
Every action taken and word spoken by a member reflects upon the entire group. While The Enclave does not generally care about public opinion we at the same time do not want members making us look bad. The following standards of conduct apply to all members. No matter where we are, we are always representing The Enclave and this must be remembered at all times.

Public Forums
The public forums, especially the game's official forums, are often the first impression others have of The Enclave. As such, members must do well to represent us with the respect and dignity The Enclave name demands. Trolling, flaming, accusations, and other such childish behavior are strictly prohibited. Over the years we have had many topics and flames targeted at us due to our success and the misery we cause the opposing teams. Remember that idiots will always drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Don't degrade yourself or The Enclave. We prefer that members avoid the public forums all together and let the leadership manage the external messaging, especially regarding issues of flaming or negative topics about us.
The Enemy
We show absolutely no mercy to our enemies. This is a PvP guild and The Enclave plays to win. I don't care if they're lower level, under-geared, questing, farming or dancing around with their e-girlfriends. You will engage them, you will kill them, you will spit on them. You will make them hate you.
Activity
Members of The Enclave are required to log in once every fourteen days in order to maintain membership in our WoW guild. Members unable to do so are to post in our forums as to not be removed from guild. Members kicked due to inactivity will be re-invited immediately upon return and will assume their old position within the guild.
Flirting
Members of The Enclave are strictly forbidden from "flirting" with other players, be it cross or same gender. This type of behavior is an embarrassment to The Enclave and the members participating in said action. Don't do it.
Disciplinary Action
As with any organization or establishment people screw up and make mistakes. Members who knowingly disobey our rules and policies the following punishments will be handed out according to the offending action.
