World of Warcraft
Release - Bleeding Hollow, Mug'thol
World of Warcraft was The Enclave’s first experience in MMORPGs. The Enclave played on the server Bleeding Hollow and later Mug’thol. The Enclave achieved numerous milestones such as becoming the first guild on Bleeding Hollow with a charter and a tabard, as well as becoming the first guild to have 5, 10, 25, and then 50 level sixty characters, and being the first Alliance to win a 40v40 AV on the server.
The Enclave focused almost exclusively on PvP. However, one and a half years after World of Warcraft’s release date it dawned on The Enclave's members that in order to compete in the game’s “endgame” they had to partake in raid instances. The Enclave eventually attempted raid instances but quickly "burned out" as it was not what many of its members wanted to do. The Enclave was soon after disbanded as its core membership lost interest in the game.
During this interim period, many members continued to play WoW, while others played strategy games such as Dawn of War. Some even took part in a limited venture into DAoC.
The Return - Tortheldrin
The Enclave returned to WoW in 2007, with a promise to not leave until something better comes out, and to play WoW the "Enclave Way". While the majority of old members rolled new characters, many transferred from other servers to rejoin the guild. The Enclave took Tortheldrin by storm, bringing world PvP back to the game. Even though the server was massively Horde dominated, the Enclave suceeded in killing all faction bosses, at prime-time, which many thought would be impossible.
A New Server - Andorhal
Seeing that Tortheldrin was dying (as was the case with most new expansion servers for Alliance), The Enclave decided that a transfer would breath new life into the game. In preperation for Lich King, most members wanted to be on a server with better population and ping, hence a transfer was agreed upon.
The guild now fights for the Alliance on Andorhal, and its history there is yet to be written.
